Job summary

Vertiv in Italy is seeking an experienced Production Assembly Supervisor to coordinate the mechanical assembly department and ensure timely delivery of orders.

You will oversee technicians, read drawings, verify materials, and apply lean methods to improve efficiency, quality and safety within the team. Collaboration with Technical Engineering, Quality and Warehouse is essential.

Availability for a standard daytime schedule, two shifts and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly activities.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience with measuring tools and workshop equipment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Proven ability to coordinate and supervise teams.
• Capacity to plan and prioritize department workloads.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate department personnel and define priorities.
• Organize machinery assembly according to production schedules.
• Monitor progress of production orders and timelines.
• Supervise assembly activities and ensure correct work.
• Provide technical support to operators for assembly issues.
• Read drawings and verify materials, components, and tools.
• Report shortages or issues affecting production.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Warehouse to resolve problems.
• Ensure use of equipment and safety rules.
• Coach and onboard assigned personnel.
