Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Production Manager to lead and optimise manufacturing operations at the assigned plant in Italy. You will ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery and continuous improvement across three shifts, coordinating a team of about 60 operators and technicians.

This role reports to the plant manager and requires a hands-on approach to sustain safe, compliant operations. You will plan daily production, optimise resources, monitor KPIs, drive Lean projects, and collaborate with

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Management Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience managing production in a structured manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial KPIs, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Proven people leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Engineering and Supply Chain.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily production activities in line with production schedules.
• Manage and optimise production resources, including people, equipment and materials.
• Monitor key production KPIs such as output, efficiency, scrap, downtime and yield.
• Lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Support capacity improvements through optimisation of equipment, processes and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and manufacturing standards.
• Manage and develop the production team, including approximately 60 employees across three shifts.
• Maintain accurate production data and reporting.
