Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Milan is seeking a Groups Sales & Events Manager within the Events Department. Based at the property, you will manage groups and events sales and operations, reporting to the Hotel Manager. The role requires at least 5 years in groups, events, catering and conference services; luxury hotel experience is preferred.

Fluency in English and Italian is essential. You should be able to work a flexible schedule, lead a high-performing team, and coordinate with F&B, events operations

Responsibilities

• Support company's philosophy and culture through Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences to ensure Guest Satisfaction and mission.
• Carries out site visits as per company standards.
• Ensure a sales approach in every lead, customizing offers and maintaining a luxury attitude.
• Conduct weekly Group/event meetings with the team and other departments.
• Generate Banquet Event Orders, Groups Resumes and business correspondence.
• Maintain an active trace system for all assigned groups with data accuracy per MO policies.
• Obtain necessary approvals/permits/insurance certificates for events.
• Contract business with approved vendors as appropriate.
• Develop Sales Team training courses based on current performance.
