X-ELIO, a Brookfield-owned global leader in renewables, is seeking a Senior Engineering & Grid Integration professional based in Italy (Rome or Palermo). You will drive engineering development and grid integration across lifecycle from concept to commissioning, interfacing with EPCs, consultants and grid operators to deliver bankable, technically optimized projects.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy engineering or grid connection processes.
• Experience with utility-scale PV projects and BESS.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead engineering activities during development, design, construction, and commissioning of solar PV and BESS projects in Italy.
• Review and validate conceptual, basic, and detailed designs by internal teams and external partners.
• Support technology selection, plant layout optimization and technical due diligence.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, regulations and company requirements.
• Lead grid connection strategy and execution for projects in Italy and coordinate interconnections with ENEL and TERNA.
• Supervise design and optimization of substations, HV lines, and HV connection infrastructure.
• Coordinate activities to obtain grid permits, energization, and readiness.
• Perform technical-economic assessments and support CAPEX optimization.
• Review engineering assumptions, specs, and budgets; identify risks and gaps.
• Support investment decisions through technical analysis and recommendations.
• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and testing.
• Coordinate interfaces among EPC contractors, consultants, developers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Prepare technical reports and project updates for management decisions.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams.
