Job summary

BW ESS in Italy is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead grid compliance for large-scale battery storage projects. You will ensure adherence to Italian grid codes, interface with TSOs and consultants, and contribute to FEED-stage power system designs and EPC coordination.

Qualifications

3–5 years' experience in grid compliance or electrical engineering.
Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Strong knowledge of Italian grid connection processes.
Knowledge of Italian grid codes and technical standards.
Fluent Italian and English (written and spoken).
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate complex processes with multiple external partners.
Ownership mindset and results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end grid compliance for large-scale battery storage projects in Italy.
Ensure adherence to Italian grid codes and technical standards.
Interface with grid operators and external technical consultants.
Develop high-level power system designs and key equipment specifications (FEED stage).
Coordinate EPC design, testing and commissioning related to grid compliance requirements.
Proactively resolve issues to prevent delays.
Provide support to projects across BW ESS portfolio.
