Topcon Positioning Group in Italy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop field survey applications for GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, and related surveying devices across Android, Windows, Linux, and iOS.

You will work in a hybrid setup with three days in Concordia sulla Secchia or Ancona, collaborating with global teams to deliver robust software and demonstrate strong Java/C++ skills.

Competenze

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java and/or C++.
• Hands-on Android development experience, including Android Studio.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design principles, algorithms, data structures and multithreading.
• Experience with development tools, version control, debugging, testing and documentation.
• Knowledge of Jira, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
• Familiarity with c++20, boost, asio, gRPC, protobuf, mqtt, NMEA/RTCM, cryptography, memory optimization, docker.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate in English.

• Develop and maintain field survey applications using Java, C++, and related technologies.
• Implement modules that connect with Topcon and third-party field equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, team leaders, and software teams to plan delivery schedules and ensure high-quality execution.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and application issues.
• Support existing mature software while contributing to new features, enhancements, testing, and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to continuous improvement of software processes.
