Topcon Positioning Group in Italy seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Field Survey Applications (C++). You will work on cross-platform software interfacing with GNSS receivers and field devices, developing data collection and positioning workflows across Windows, Linux, Android and iOS.

Competenze

• 3+ years of professional C++ software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Qt and/or QML for cross-platform apps.
• Strong OO programming, design principles, algorithms and multithreading.
• Experience developing for Windows; Linux/Android/iOS exposure is a plus.
• Familiarity with communication protocols, hardware interfaces and CI/CD.
• Interest or experience in geodesy, topography or construction tech is valuable.
• Good written and spoken English; Italian helpful but not essential.

Mansioni

• Design, develop and maintain field survey applications for Windows, Linux, Android and iOS using C++, Qt and QML.
• Build modules for data collection, device communication and positioning workflows.
• Integrate GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, laser range finders and other devices.
• Estimate development effort and contribute to planning and delivery decisions.
• Support architecture, coding, testing, documentation and release processes.
• Troubleshoot complex software and hardware integration issues with field feedback.
• Collaborate with project managers, QA, product teams and international engineers.
