About the Role: We are seeking a growth‑focused business development leader with deep expertise in the European leather goods and hardware sector. Based in Italy, you will drive the expansion of Yibi Group’s presence across the region—spearheading new client acquisition while strengthening relationships with existing luxury partners. This is a high‑impact role designed for a professional who excels in both strategic selling and long‑term relationship building.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a structured business development strategy to identify, approach, and secure new luxury clients across key European markets.
  • Serve as the primary technical and commercial interface for Yibi Group’s luxury clients in Europe, focusing on leather goods hardware projects.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with both new and existing clients, acting as their strategic advisor and primary point of contact.
  • Facilitate day‑to‑day communication, providing expert insights on product development, sourcing, and manufacturing processes specific to leather accessories.
  • Leverage your deep understanding of leather goods construction and hardware trims to advise clients and internal teams on feasibility, aesthetics, and functionality.
  • Lead or participate in critical business negotiations and deliver professional presentations to senior‑level audiences.
  • Act as a cultural and operational bridge, seamlessly navigating between Eastern and Western business practices within the leather goods sector.
Qualifications
  • Industry Background: 10+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, product development, or strategic sourcing within the leather goods sector, with a demonstrated track record of securing and growing key accounts in the European luxury market.
  • Company Pedigree: Mandatory prior employment experience with at least one of the following leading leather goods maisons:
    • Chanel
    • Dior
    • Bvlgari
    • Fendi
    • Balenciaga
    • Saint Laurent
    • Bottega Veneta
    • Burberry
    • Gucci
    • Salvatore Ferragamo
    • CELINE
    • Montblanc
  • Product Expertise: Deep, hands‑on understanding of the development, sourcing, and supply chain for leather goods and their metal hardware. Experience with Hardware manufacturing techniques is essential.
  • Professional Network: Established, active, and effective high‑level network within the European leather goods industry, with the ability to open doors and create new business opportunities.
  • Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in English and Italian is mandatory.

  • Exceptional soft skills: Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities, paired with strategic thinking and a customer‑centric mindset.
  • Cultural Fluency: Deep understanding of Sino‑European cultural and business nuances, with the agility to adapt working styles accordingly.
  • Proven ability to independently identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities in a competitive luxury environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher; a background in Industrial Design, Engineering, or Fashion is a significant plus.
