Job summary

Topcon Positioning Group in Italy is seeking an experienced Android Developer to design field survey applications for GNSS receivers and surveying equipment across Android, Windows, Linux, and iOS platforms.

This hybrid role requires 3+ years of software development with Java/C++, Android Studio experience, and strong knowledge of OOP, data structures and multithreading. You will work with international teams on challenging projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with Java and/or C++.
• Hands-on Android development experience, including Android Studio.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading.
• Experience with debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Proficiency with Jira, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain field survey applications using Java, C++, Kotlin and related technologies.
• Implement software modules that connect with Topcon and third-party field equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, team leaders, and software teams to plan delivery schedules and ensure high-quality execution.
• Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and application issues.
• Support existing mature software while contributing to new features, enhancements, testing, and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to continuous improvement of software processes.
