Topcon Positioning Group in Italy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Field Survey Applications (C++) to join our Field Software team. You will develop cross-platform software that communicates with GNSS receivers and field devices, enabling surveyors and engineers to collect and process precise positioning data.

The role requires 3+ years in C++ with Qt/QML, strong OO and multithreading, and a collaborative, quality-driven mindset.

Competenze

• 3+ years of professional C++ software development in cross-platform environments.
• Hands-on experience with Qt and QML for cross-platform apps.
• Strong OO principles, data structures and multithreading.

Mansioni

• Design, develop and maintain field survey applications for Windows, Linux, Android and iOS using C++, Qt and QML.
• Build modules for data collection, device communication, and positioning workflows.
• Integrate GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, laser range finders, and other devices.
• Analyze requirements, estimate effort and contribute to planning and delivery.
• Support full software lifecycle: architecture, coding, testing, documentation, release.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and translate field feedback into robust solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, QA, product teams and international engineers.
• Improve code quality, processes and internal tools.
