Topcon Positioning Group in Italy invites an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Field Software team, focusing on Field Survey Applications in C++. You will design cross‑platform software for Windows, Linux, Android and iOS using C++, Qt and QML, integrate GNSS and field devices, and contribute to the full software lifecycle.

Competenze

• 3+ years of professional C++ development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Qt and/or QML for cross‑platform apps.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and design principles.
• Experience developing for Windows; exposure to Linux/Android/iOS is a plus.
• Familiarity with protocols, hardware interfaces, debugging tools, VCS and CI/CD.
• Interest or experience in geodesy, topography or construction tech is valuable.
• Good written and spoken English; Italian helpful but not essential.

Mansioni

• Design, develop and maintain field survey applications for Windows, Linux, Android and iOS using C++, Qt and QML.
• Build reliable modules for data collection, device communication, positioning workflows and field operations.
• Integrate GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, laser range finders and other devices.
• Estimate development effort and contribute to planning and delivery decisions.
• Support the full software lifecycle: architecture, coding, testing, documentation and release.
• Troubleshoot complex software and hardware‑integration issues with field feedback.
• Collaborate with project managers, QA, product teams and international engineers.
• Contribute to code quality, internal best practices and scalable processes.
