Job summary

Topcon Positioning Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop field survey applications across Android, Windows, Linux, and iOS platforms. This Hybrid role requires two days in the Concordia sulla Secchia office, with a focus on GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, and surveying equipment.

You will work with Java, C++, and Kotlin to build, test, and maintain field software, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive software quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java and/or C++ skills.
• Hands-on Android development experience, including Android Studio.
• Solid understanding of OO programming, design principles, algorithms, data structures and multithreading.
• Experience with debugging, testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain field survey applications using Java, C++, and Kotlin.
• Connect software modules with Topcon and third-party field equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers and teams to plan delivery schedules with high-quality execution.
• Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
• Support existing software and contribute to new features, testing and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to continuous improvement of software processes.
