Job summary

ABB Italy is seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect with strong ABAP development skills to lead architecture and integration efforts for S/4HANA migrations. You will design and build SAP solutions, ensuring quality and alignment with enterprise standards, while supporting cross-functional teams across Italy and Europe.

The role requires deep SAP ABAP expertise, OO programming, and familiarity with RAP/CAP, SAP integrations, and modern data architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar.
• 10+ years experience as SAP Solution Architect and ABAP developer.
• Strong SAP ABAP including OO programming; familiarity with RAP and CAP is a plus.
• Experience in SAP integrations (IDOCs, BAPI, APIs, web services) and S/4HANA migration.

ABB wants to enlarge the team with someone who brings new technologies knowledge, to be prepared for next challenge of S/4 HANA transformation.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesYou will own software solution architecture across multiple architecture categories and ensure its alignment with enterprise and data architecture standards. Also, you will be responsible for the design and build, integrity, and quality of an IS solution and associated IS services delivered to business.- Work model: #LI-HybridIn this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:Driving the organization from a technical perspective to be prepared to the S4 HANA migrationDesigning and building SAP custom solutions.Maintaining the integrity and quality of SAP solutions and integrated IS services.Creating and maintaining the technical and architectural documentation of solutions.Performing internal testing and supporting user testing when needed.Driving change within the ABB team by promoting new technologies and innovative solution design approaches.Proactively supporting the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IS solutions and services.Supporting the Application Run Organization in incident and problem resolution when technical verification is required.Understanding business processes at a high level and providing expert advice.Guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice without direct line responsibility.
