Job summary

ABB Italiens IS-organisation söker en erfaren SAP Solutions Architect med stark ABAP och S/4HANA-kompetens. Du kommer att leda arkitektur för SAP-lösningar, säkerställa integritet och designa nya SAP-lösningar för en komplex verksamhet. Reser vilja och tydlig kommunikation på italienska och engelska krävs.

Positionen är hybrid med stöd för utveckling och migreringar i ABBs europeiska nätverk. Minimumlön inkluderar fast del + prestationsbaserad del enligt metallmekanisk kollektivavtal.

Qualifications

• Kandidatexamen i datavetenskap eller liknande
• Minst 10 års erfarenhet som SAP-lösningsarkitekt och ABAP-utvecklare, gärna i ABB:s affärsområde
• Sterk SAP ABAP-expertise, objektorienterad programmering; erfarenhet av RAP/CAP är meriterande
• Kännedom om SAP-integrationer (IDoc, BAPI, APIs, webbtjänster) och SAP-moduler (SD, MM, WM, PP)
• Kunskap om SAP S/4HANA och nya teknologier inklusive migreringsprojekt; kännedom om SAP BTP och clean core
• Goda kommunikations- och samarbetsförmågor; förmåga att förklara tekniska koncept för icke-tekniska intressenter
• Du talar italienska och engelska flytande; resevilja till italienska och europeiska ABB-lokationer

Responsibilities

• Leda arkitektur för lösningar över flera arkitekturkategorier och säkerställa överensstämmelse med standarder
• Designa och bygga SAP-lösningar samt säkerställa integritet och kvalitet i IS-tjänster
• Skapa och underhålla teknisk/arkitektur dokumentation för lösningar
• Genomföra intern testning och stödja användartestning vid behov
• Främja nya teknologier och innovativt lösningsdesignsätt inom ABB
• Driva installation, förvaltning, underhåll och optimering av interna och tvärfunktionella processer kopplade till IS-lösningar
• Stödja Application Run-organisationen vid incidenter och problem vid teknisk verifiering
• Förstå affärsprocesser övergripande och ge expertis
• Leda och övervaka uppgiftsslutförande, dela expertkunskap utan direkt linjeansvar; samverka med SAP-konsulter och andra applikations-SME:er

ABB Italy has a large competence center with many years of experience in SAP technologies and solutions in a complex business environment. ABB wants to enlarge the team with someone who brings new technologies knowledge, to be prepared for next challenge of S/4 HANA transformation.

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will own software solution architecture across multiple architecture categories and ensure its alignment with enterprise and data architecture standards. Also, you will be responsible for the design and build, integrity, and quality of an IS solution and associated IS services delivered to business.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Driving the organization from a technical perspective to be prepared to the S4 HANA migration
• Designing and building SAP custom solutions.
• Maintaining the integrity and quality of SAP solutions and integrated IS services.
• Creating and maintaining the technical and architectural documentation of solutions.
• Performing internal testing and supporting user testing when needed.
• Driving change within the ABB team by promoting new technologies and innovative solution design approaches.
• Proactively supporting the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IS solutions and services.
• Supporting the Application Run Organization in incident and problem resolution when technical verification is required.
• Understanding business processes at a high level and providing expert advice.
• Guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice without direct line responsibility. Coordinating with other functional and technical SAP consultants, as well as with other application SMEs, on integration solutions.

Qualifications for the Role

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar discipline.
• Experience of at least 10 years as SAP Solution Architect and ABAP language developer, better if in the same business sector of ABB.
• Strong SAP ABAP expertise, including object-oriented programming; familiarity with modern programming models (RAP, CAP) is a plus.
• Solid experience in SAP integrations, including IDOCs, BAPI, APIs, and web services, with basic functional knowledge of SAP modules (SD, MM, WM, PP).
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and emerging technologies, including experience in migration projects and familiarity with SAP BTP and clean core principles.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, build effective relationships, and work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Proactive and analytical mindset, with curiosity for new technologies, problem-solving attitude, ability to challenge the status quo, prioritize under pressure, and adapt to changing environments.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken
• Availability to travel occasionally to Italian and European ABB locations

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: €61.000,00

Variable Pay: AIP Target 15% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
