Job summary

Sungrow Europe is seeking an O&M Engineer to own service delivery for PV and BESS assets in Italy and the Balkans. You will troubleshoot remotely, plan on-site work with Field Service Engineers, and compile RCAs and KPI reports to support warranties and contracts.

The role requires 3+ years in O&M/field service, a degree in Electrical/Energy engineering, strong analytical skills, and fluency in Italian (C2) and English (B2).

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Energy Engineering or equivalent experience as electrical technician.
• 3+ years in O&M, field service or commissioning of utility-scale PV and/or BESS, with knowledge of inverters, PCS, batteries, EMS/SCADA/PPC.
• Strong remote troubleshooting and analytical skills, including log analysis, RCA and KPI reporting.
• Ability to read and apply SLA/LTSA, warranty and partner contracts, including scope, response times, availability, penalties and exclusions.
• Italian C2 and English B2 or higher; Spanish a plus. Proficient in MS Office (Excel) and comfortable with AI tools. CRM, ticketing and Power BI are a plus.
• Driving license, H&S training for construction and electrical sites, willing to travel about 50%, mainly across Italy and occasionally to the Balkans. Based in Milan.

Responsibilities

• Be the first line of remote troubleshooting on inverters, PCS, batteries, EMS and SCADA.
• Plan and guide on-site interventions with Field Service Engineers and service partners; validate results.
• Develop clear RCAs and technical reports for warranty and contractual decisions.
• Plan preventive maintenance campaigns, manage tickets end to end, deliver monthly KPI reports.
• Follow up on contract invoicing and service partner invoices; coordinate partners across Italy and the Balkans.
• Support LTSA and SLA contract reviews and leverage AI and data tools like Power BI and CRM.
