Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking an O&M Technician in Italy to perform day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting for solar PV plants. The role focuses on ensuring operation, reliability, and safety while supporting documentation and compliance with procedures.

Travel to multiple plant sites is required, with ongoing use of CMMS and reporting. A technical diploma in electrical engineering and 1–2 years of relevant experience are expected, along with fluent Italian and basic English.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in maintenance or troubleshooting of solar PV plants or relevant electrical/industrial experience.
• Basic understanding of PV systems (string inverters, trackers, MV/LV equipment, monitoring systems).
• Fluent Italian and basic English.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and support corrective maintenance activities on solar PV plants.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, escalating complex faults when needed.
• Monitor basic plant performance indicators and ensure compliance with internal procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance logs and technical reports; support the update of server files and backups.
• Support spare parts handling and assist external contractors during onsite interventions.
• Use and update the CMMS and other internal tools according to company procedures.
• Work remotely as required and travel regularly to various solar plant locations.
