Hitachi Rail is seeking a System Engineer to join the Rolling Stock Engineering Department in Italy. The role can be based in Pistoia or Napoli.

You will prepare system specifications, manage interfaces, and verify documentation with suppliers while ensuring compliance with international railway standards. The candidate should have 3–5 years in railway or similar industrial environments, proficiency with DOORS, RAMS, and design verification methodologies, and a Master’s in Engineering.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics preferred).
• 3–5 years of railway/industrial experience.
• Proficient in RAMS and systems engineering.
• English level at least B2.
• Experience with design verification/validation.

Mansioni

• Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS).
• Define and manage system interfaces throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze and assess technical documentation from Suppliers.
• Prepare and verify system installation/integration drawings/specifications.
• Conduct design reviews with internal teams and suppliers.
• Prepare FRS and FTS including performance tests.
• Attend system stand-alone type test and review type test reports.
• Support onboard integration, performance testing and validation phases.
• Review design documentation with customers and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with railway regulations and project constraints.
