Hitachi Rail is seeking a junior System Engineer to join the Rolling Stock Engineering Department. The role is based in Pistoia or Napoli, Italy, and requires a driven, self-motivated professional with a foundation in system engineering.

You will develop system requirements, manage interfaces, and support installation, testing, and validation activities, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams. English proficiency and willingness to travel are essential.

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics preferred).
• Knowledge of English at least B2 level.
• 1–2 years in Railway or complex industrial environments is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of RAMS and main railway regulations and standards.

Mansioni

• Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS).
• Define and manage system interfaces throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze technical documentation from Suppliers.
• Prepare and verify system installation/integration drawings/specifications.
• Conduct design reviews with internal teams and suppliers.
• Prepare Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) and tests (FTS).
• Support onboard integration, performance testing and validation phases.
