Hitachi Rail S.p.A. in Italy seeks a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the Rolling Stock Engineering team in Pistoia or Napoli. You will contribute to mechanical design, installation and verification tasks for rail vehicles in a fast-paced, international setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in engineering, has English at B2 level, and 1–2 years’ relevant experience in rail or similar heavy industries. Salary ranges 33,000–38,000 € gross annually.

Competenze

Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
English knowledge at least B2.
1–2 years railway/industrial experience preferred.
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
Good knowledge of design and engineering processes.

Mansioni

Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for mechanical components.
Analyze and assess technical proposals from suppliers.
Prepare and verify mechanical installation/integration drawings.
Conduct design reviews with internal teams and suppliers.
Attend system stand-alone type tests and review test reports.
Support manufacturing, testing and validation phases.
Review design documentation with customers and suppliers.
Prepare structural drawings and equipment layouts.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BoM).
Ensure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and project constraints.
Prepare the required documentation for vehicle approval and homologation.
