Hitachi Rail S.p.A. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Rolling Stock Engineering Department, based in Pistoia or Napoli. The role requires 3–5 years in the railway sector, handling system specs, drawings, BoM, and compliance with international standards.

Master’s in engineering and English proficiency are mandatory. The position is full-time and on-site in Italy. You will collaborate with suppliers and customers, support tests and validation, and contribute to vehicle documentation and

Competenze

Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical disciplines mandatory).
Knowledge of English (minimum B2).
3–5 years' experience in the Railway sector or complex industrial environments.

Mansioni

Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for mechanical components.
Analyze and assess technical documentation from suppliers.
Prepare and verify mechanical installation/integration drawings and specifications.
Conduct design reviews with internal teams and suppliers.
Attend system stand-alone type tests and review test reports.
Support manufacturing, testing and validation phases.
Review design documentation with customers and suppliers.
Prepare structural drawings and equipment layouts.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BoM).
Ensure compliance with railway regulations and project constraints.
