Hitachi Rail is seeking a junior mechanical engineer in Italy, based in Pistoia or Napoli, to contribute to the Rolling Stock Engineering Department. You will work on mechanical design, interfaces, and documentation in a fast-paced, international environment.

The role requires a Master’s degree in engineering, English at least B2, and a willingness to travel. Tasks include preparing specifications, evaluating supplier proposals, drawing checks, and supporting testing and homologation activities.

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) mandatory.
• Knowledge of English at least B2 level.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical disciplines and design verification.
• Experience with CATIA or Creo preferred and Windchill PLM helpful.
• Willingness to travel nationally/internationally.

• Prepare System Requirements Specifications for mechanical components.
• Analyze and assess technical proposals from suppliers.
• Prepare and verify mechanical installation/integration drawings and specs.
• Conduct design reviews with internal teams and suppliers.
• Attend type test reviews and support testing/validation phases.
• Prepare structural drawings and equipment layouts.
• Create Bill of Materials and ensure regulatory compliance.
