Saipem is seeking a Project Manager to join the Project Management Department in Energy Carriers. You will oversee governance, planning, and execution of complex onshore/offshore projects, ensuring profitability and adherence to Saipem procedures.

The role requires 8–10 years in Oil & Gas, strong leadership of global teams, and extensive stakeholder management. Hybrid work from Milano Santa Giulia with opportunities for international travel.

Competenze

Purpose Of The Position

As Project Manager, you will join our Department of Project Management, in the business line Energy Carriers.

How can you support us?

Here below your responsibilities:

• Ensure the governance of projects and initiatives in terms of organizational, financial, technological and contractual aspects, assuring the achievement of the established objectives, including the profit ones and ensures the observance of Company procedures and practices
• Plan, coordinate and control the execution of the project, in accordance with the Client requirements, within time and cost constrains and in compliance with HSE and Quality procedures
• Achieve profit objectives ensuring the observance of Saipem procedures and practices
• Represents Company towards Clients, Licensors, Partners and Subcontractors managing contractual aspects
• Ensures the implementation of methodologies related to risk/opportunity, knowledge management, lessons learned, cost of non-quality and the respect of Saipem Golden Rules and Silver Guide Lines

What are we looking for?

Education

• Degree in Engineering Science
• Professional qualification/Chartership is a plus, such as PMP, CIOB etc. certification.

Experience

a minimum of 8/10 years of experience Oil & Gas projects; a minimum of 4 years of experience in the role of Project Manager of large scale projects and with Majors Clients;

Languages

English B2/C1

Technical/IT Knowledge

• Proven track record of managing high-value, large scale, complex projects within the oil & gas, new energies, or floaters sectors.
• Extensive experience interface-managing global energy Majors and high-profile stakeholders.
• Ability to lead global, diverse, and multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix organization.
• Strong background across various project phases, including design management, planning, contract management, and cost control.
• Comprehensive command of standard project management tools, risk assessment techniques, and project control software.
• Deep understanding of international contract structures, commercial risk mitigation, and change order and claim management.
• Solid knowledge of budgeting, cost forecasting, and cash flow optimization for large-scale EPC projects.
• Direct experience in managing and coordinating projects executed under Joint Venture (JV) consortiums is highly preferred.
• Experience in executing modularized projects is highly preferred.
• Experience working across different geographic regions and adapting to diverse regulatory standards and local content requirements is highly preferred.
