A leading chemical distribution company in Italy is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a fixed-term contract, managing product groups in the Cleaning and Cosmetics industry. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, relevant experience, and strong communication skills. This role offers a chance to be part of a motivated team while ensuring high-quality standards in distribution. Opportunities for contract extension or permanent placement are available.

Competenze

• 1-2 years of experience in Surfactants, Beauty & Care Company.
• Proven track record with scouting new suppliers.

Mansioni

• Manage product- and vendor-groups for the Cleaning and Cosmetics industry.
• Check stock levels of products for reordering.
• Manage purchase orders from entry to fulfillment.
• Provide instructions for material collection.
• Monitor supply performance and intervene when necessary.
• Maintain contacts and correspondence with suppliers.

Our Brenntag HI&I Italy division builds the link between Raw Material suppliers and Producers and manages the Distribution of Excipients, Intermediates, as well as Base chemicals with Value-Added Services. You will be part of the HI&I team and work closely together with our Sales- and Pharma Services team across the region South - Italy. Your responsibility will be to manage product- and vendor-groups for the Cleaning and Cosmetics industry, focusing on the Region of Italy and South Europe.

Our initial offer is a fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave (6 months), with the possibility of extension (6 months) or permanent placement.

Responsibilities

Covering the Role of Procurement Specialist you'll be in charge for :

• Checks the stock levels of the products under their responsibility for reordering purposes
• Manages purchase orders, from entry to fulfillment, for the products under their responsibility
• Provides instructions for material collection to the carrier or to Brenntag's logistics department
• Monitors supply performance, intervening with the supplier when necessary
• Enters and updates purchase and sales price lists
• Requests the necessary information for the entry and update of supplier records
• Requests the necessary documentation for the entry and update of product records
• Maintains contacts and correspondence with suppliers
• Manages possible returns and non-conformities
• Reviews (monthly / quarterly) on the BE system the purchases / sales of products by supplier under their responsibility, intervening with sales staff in case of discrepancies
• Records monthly quotations (monthly average)

Your Profile

Skills

• Proficiency in AS 400;
• Strong in communication and problem solving;
• Experience with knowledge of Surfactants, Beauty Products will be considered as a plus.
• Proviciency in English.

Experience

The person we are looking for holds a degree in Chemistry or a related field and is familiar with Beauty and Care products.

• 1-2 years of experience in Surfactants, Beauty & Care Company;
• Proven track record with scouting new suppliers;

Education

An academic background in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields is required.

The knowledge of English language (B2 at least) is mandatory.
