Vertiv is seeking a Pre-Sales Electrical Engineer - Power in Bologna to deliver electrical design support for integrated power solutions during proposals. You will produce schematics, run calculations, ensure compliance, and work with cross-functional teams to define proposed solutions.

The role emphasizes deep electrical design experience, knowledge of codes (IEC/IEEE/CE) and proficiency with ETAP, EasyPower and DIgSILENT PowerFactory, plus good English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in power distribution or mission‑critical infrastructure.
• Strong command of network calculations, protection and sizing methods.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, CE/UKCA and EMEA national codes; CAD proficiency.
• Hands‑on proficiency with network‑calculation and protection software (ETAP, EasyPower, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
• Strong written and verbal English.

Responsabilités

• Produce electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams, and documentation for proposals.
• Perform network calculations, sizing, protection coordination, arc‑flash assessment, and withstand rating checks.
• Apply relevant codes and standards for the target market.
• Define integrated solutions with mechanical, control and EPMS colleagues.
• Check designs for customer spec compliance and document deviations.
• Coordinate with factory engineering and suppliers on components.
• Maintain accuracy and traceability of design documentation through the proposal phase.
• Contribute standard schematics and reusable blocks to the engineering library.
• Use network‑calculation software and AI‑enabled tools to reduce cycle time within quality checks.
