Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Plant Operations Manager in Italy to lead a single plant within a three-plant manufacturing network. You will oversee approximately 60 employees across three shifts, develop shift leaders, and balance output with safety, quality and delivery targets.

You will drive Lean daily management, optimize capacity and coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and HR to sustain performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Significant production-management experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Experience leading multi-shift operations and front-line leaders.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and problem solving.
• English working proficiency in a local plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Translate the production plan into daily and weekly priorities and staffing.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality standards, and operating procedures.
• Manage people, materials, equipment and workflow to achieve output and delivery.
• Review performance KPIs and take corrective actions as needed.
• Develop Shift Leaders and drive coaching, succession planning and capability.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain and HR.
• Identify bottlenecks; sponsor countermeasures and improvement projects.
• Drive Lean daily management, 5S, and structured problem solving.
• Oversee shift handovers and consistent standards across shifts.
• Support new-product introduction and manufacturing changes.
