Job summary

Epassi, Milano, is seeking a People Operations & Payroll Specialist to own Italy employee administration and payroll. You will manage contracts, onboarding, leaves, and data accuracy, ensuring timely payroll and compliant processes across markets.

The role sits in a transforming People Operations & Architecture team and requires strong Italian payroll knowledge and clear, empathetic communication. You will collaborate with Finance, IT and HR to deliver a seamless employee experience while

Qualifications

• Hands-on HR administration across the full employee lifecycle.
• Strong Italian payroll experience, ideally end-to-end internal payroll.
• Good knowledge of Italian employment law: CCNL, contracts, hours, leave entitlements, probation, notice periods.
• Familiar with Jira, Google Workspace and Slack.
• Willingness to use AI to draft, summarize and reduce manual effort, with data privacy in mind.
• Clear, kind communication and discretion handling sensitive data.
• Collaborative across markets and functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee administration across contracts, onboarding, changes, leaves and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate records in HiBob ensuring completeness and compliance.
• Resolve employee and manager queries via ticketing system within service standards.
• Guide stakeholders on People processes and local employment requirements.
• Handle data securely in line with GDPR and Italian requirements.
• Collaborate with People, Finance and IT to deliver a smooth employee experience.
• Support payroll administration and year-end activities for Italy.
