Mandarin Oriental Rome is seeking a Director of Security to lead the safe and secure operation of the hotel, protecting guests, colleagues and assets while upholding the brand’s discreet luxury standards.

The role requires strategic oversight of security programs, emergency planning, loss prevention, and regulatory compliance, reporting to the General Manager, and partnering with department leaders to ensure a guest-centric security culture across the property.

Formación

• Significant leadership experience within hotel security, corporate security, law enforcement, or related security management.
• Experience leading security operations within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of security management, risk assessment, crisis response, and loss prevention.
• Fluency in English and Italian is essential; additional languages advantageous.
• Excellent leadership and people management with ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
• Experience managing relationships with local authorities, emergency services and regulatory bodies.

Responsabilidades

• Developing and implementing the hotel's overall security, safety, and risk management strategy in line with Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Leading and managing the Security team with professionalism and service excellence.
• Establishing security policies, procedures, and standards across the hotel.
• Monitoring risks and vulnerabilities, implementing preventive measures.
• Overseeing physical security, access control, CCTV, investigations and incident management.
• Ensuring compliance with local laws, fire life safety requirements, and company policies.
• Leading emergency response planning and crisis management, including evacuation and business continuity.
• Conducting risk assessments, security audits, and facility inspections.
