Job summary

European Tech Recruit seeks an experienced Solutions Architect in Italy to lead technical design and pre-sales for industrial automation projects across Italy and Europe.

You will translate customer needs into end-to-end control architectures, develop proposals and lead technical discussions with stakeholders, while collaborating with engineering and product teams to ensure feasible and competitive solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in industrial automation or OT/IT integration.
• Strong understanding of DCS, PLC, SCADA and industrial control architectures.
• Experience in technical solution design, systems engineering, pre-sales or solutions architecture.
• Fluency in Italian and English; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements and translate them into industrial automation solutions.
• Design end-to-end architectures covering DCS, PLC, SIS and SCADA systems.
• Develop technical proposals, system designs and solution specifications.
• Lead technical presentations, workshops and product demonstrations.
• Support bids with technical clarifications and solution evaluation.
• Interface between customers, sales, product specialists and engineering teams.
• Integrate industrial control with IT infrastructure and OT environments.
• Prepare technical documentation and training materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure feasibility and competitiveness.
• Stay updated on Industry 4.0 and automation trends.
