Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect for industrial automation across Italy and Europe. Lead technical design, pre-sales, and customer workshops to translate requirements into end-to-end automation architectures.

Responsibilities include proposing solutions for DCS, PLC, SIS, SCADA, and IT/OT integration, while coordinating with engineering and sales teams to ensure feasibility and competitiveness. Fluent Italian and English required; travel may be needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, CS, Mechatronics or related field.
Minimum 3 years in industrial automation, process control or OT/IT integration.
Strong understanding of DCS, PLC, SCADA and industrial control architectures.
Experience in technical solution design, systems engineering or pre-sales.
Ability to translate customer requirements into clear technical/commercial proposals.
Fluency in Italian and English; willingness to travel within Italy and Europe.

Responsibilities

Analyse customer requirements and translate them into industrial automation solutions.
Design end-to-end control system architectures (DCS, PLC, SIS, SCADA).
Develop technical proposals, system architectures and specifications.
Lead technical presentations, workshops and product demonstrations.
Support bids with technical clarifications and evaluations.
Interface between customers, sales, product specialists and engineering teams.
Integrate industrial control with IT/infrastructure and OT environments.
Prepare technical docs, design specs and training materials.
Collaborate with engineering to ensure feasible, competitive solutions.
Monitor industry trends in automation and digital transformation.
