Job summary
Leonardo is seeking a Sales Engineer Specialist for the Cascina Costa di Samarate site to assess customer requirements, prepare technical proposals, and present capabilities to support bids.
The role includes responding to RFIs/RFPs, coordinating technical offers, supporting negotiations, and interfacing with engineering and program managers. Travel and long overseas assignments are expected.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (preferably aeronautical) or STEM.
- Excellent/Good English (written and spoken).
- Strong computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Interest in aeronautical technologies and rotorcraft requirements.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Capable of multitasking and prioritising under pressure.
- Ready to travel with short notice; car owner preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess customer requirements, prepare technical proposals, and present capabilities for bids.
- Respond to RFIs/RFQs/RFPs and coordinate technical offer packages for international sales.
- Support negotiations, evaluate deviations, and assist pre-bid activities with product data.
- Interface with Engineering and Program Managers to Feasibly configure new solutions.
- Promote commercial configurations and contribute to marketing plans and business cases.
- Travel as needed; participate in long overseas assignments when required.
