Job summary

Johnson Electric Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to partner with cross-functional teams and key customers to identify and drive profitable growth opportunities. You will lead business development activities, leveraging market insights to shape product strategy and support new product development.

The role involves engaging customers, analyzing market trends, and driving commercial performance. Fluency in English is required, with German a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years in business development or similar role, preferably automotive.
• Strong knowledge of customer RFQ processes and product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Understand market needs and industry trends through customer engagement, market research, technology monitoring, product benchmarking and competitor analysis.
• Develop and implement growth strategies to win opportunities with regional teams.
• Monitor revenue, profitability and BOM targets to drive commercial performance.
• Collaborate with R&D to define product roadmaps and enhancements.
• Build strong relationships with customers and cross-functional teams for long-term success.
• Assess RFQs and opportunities to ensure profitable decisions.
• Support sales with product strategy, value proposition, pricing, and go-to-market approaches.

Education
