Job summary

NACOS Marine seeks a proactive Compliance Officer to support governance, regulatory activities, and internal compliance Frameworks across the organization. You will ensure adherence to local, EU, and international regulations while collaborating with stakeholders and third parties.

You will implement data protection policies, monitor sanctions, and contribute to ESG initiatives, whistleblower protection, and policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in compliance or related disciplines are considered an advantage.
• Experience within compliance, regulatory affairs, governance, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of EU regulations, GDPR, trade compliance, sanctions, and anti-corruption frameworks.
• Familiarity with third-party due diligence, screening tools, and report management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the regulatory register and ensure compliance with local, EU, and international standards.
• Support the Organizational, Management and Control Model (Modello 231) including risk assessments and training.
• Monitor trade compliance regulations, sanctions, and embargoes with due diligence.
• Support GDPR compliance through data protection policies and procedures.
• Develop, deliver, and maintain compliance training and awareness initiatives.
• Implement and monitor anti-corruption policies and maintain the gift register.
• Oversee whistleblower protection processes and internal requirements.
• Develop, review, and implement internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Support ESG and sustainability initiatives and reporting.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and authorities on compliance matters.
