Job summary

Apex Alliance Hotel Management seeks a hands-on General Manager for the new Hampton by Hilton Bergamo, opening 2027. You will lead pre-opening activities, recruit and train the team, and establish systems and procedures to meet brand standards and launch goals.

Post-opening, manage all hotel operations, drive revenue, and build relationships with corporate clients, the airport, travel partners and the local community. Fluent in Italian and English, with 5+ years in GM roles preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a General Manager or Hotel Manager, preferably within Hilton or another international hotel brand.
• Pre-opening experience strongly preferred.
• Leadership experience of 5+ years with a track record of achieving revenue and service objectives.
• Extensive knowledge of hotel operations, sales and marketing, revenue management, HR and financial processes.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage large amounts of information and give clear direction.
• Proven ability to recruit, motivate, train and lead a team of professionals.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and work under time/resource constraints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

• Lead and manage all hotel operations after opening, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Breakfast/F&B, Engineering, Sales and Finance.
• Ensure full implementation of and compliance with Hilton and Hampton by Hilton Brand Standards.
• Prepare hotel budgets, forecasts and business plans for corporate and owner approval; review forecasts and the balanced scorecard.
• Direct actions required to maximise profitability, increase service levels and improve team member satisfaction.
• Oversee sales, marketing and revenue strategy and results; lead strategy meetings and participate in securing business.
• Build the hotel’s presence in the local market by developing relationships with corporate clients, the airport, travel partners and local community.
• Lead department heads to ensure profit, service and team member satisfaction goals are met or exceeded.
• Hire, supervise, coach and evaluate department heads and key personnel; develop the skills of direct reports.
• Communicate regularly with hotel owners and partners on results and align strategic plans for future development.

Hampton by Hilton Milan Bergamois a new 257-room hotel opening in 2027 at Orio al Serio, a 15-minute walk fromMilan Bergamo Airport (BGY). We are looking for a hands-onand motivated General Manager to lead the hotel from pre-opening through launchand beyond: building the team, setting the culture, and delivering strongcommercial and guest satisfaction results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead all pre-opening activities, including the openingcritical path, recruitment and training of the full hotel team, setting upsystems and procedures, and preparing the hotel for Hilton opening approval.

• Communicate regularly with the hotel owners andpartners on results and align strategic plans for the future development of thehotel.
• Work closely with Apex Alliance corporate departmentson implementing standards, procedures and policies, and provide feedback oncompany-wide initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a General Manager or HotelManager, ideally within Hilton or another international hotel brand; experiencein the select-service or focused-service segment is an advantage.
• Pre-opening experience is strongly preferred.
• Leadership experience of 5 years or more, with a proventrack record of achieving revenue and service objectives.
• Extensive knowledge of hotel operations, sales andmarketing, revenue management, human resources and hotel financial processes.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to managelarge amounts of information and give clear direction.
• Proven ability to recruit, motivate, train and lead ateam of professionals.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities andwork effectively under time and resource constraints.
• Ability to work effectively with owners, guests andteam members with tact and diplomacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication andpresentation skills.
