Job summary

STERIS Corporation is seeking a Service Engineer to join our Technical Service Team to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS/Cantel product lines, with field troubleshooting in the Umbria region and adjacent areas as needed. A valid driver’s license is required.

The role involves extensive travel, lifting up to 25 kgs, and overnight trips; you will coordinate service reports and maintain inventory while interacting with international suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably in the medical sector or other regulated industries.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with a well-organized maintenance approach.
• Good level of computer literacy and solid technical background with effective written and verbal communication.
• Sufficient technical English proficiency to understand manuals, technical documentation, and interact with international suppliers.
• Completion of a recognized technical training program in mechanical, electrical, or electronic fields.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS/Cantel product lines and related equipment.
• Maintain tool and parts inventory and complete service reports using corporate applications.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, managers, support functions and sales.
• Adhere to STERIS and customer health & safety protocols; maintain professional demeanor with customers and colleagues.
• Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth, passing leads to management and sales.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
