ELSE Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer with a technical background in electronics or IT to join the Service Team.

The role focuses on installations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of our systems across Italy. The candidate will work mainly independently within a team, with responsibilities that include diagnosing issues, repairing equipment, and integrating medical software into hospital IT networks.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or technical diploma in Electronics/IT.
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
• Knowledge of IT networks and Windows environments.
• Accurate, pragmatic and adaptable to different sites.
• Excellent Italian and good English (B2).
• Willingness to travel across Italy; occasional same-day return.

Responsabilidades

• Installations, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to ensure system operation.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues remotely via VPN and on-site.
• Repair equipment at the in-house lab.
• Communicate with customers throughout the support process.
• Coordinate with device manufacturers' technical support teams.
• Install and configure medical software into hospital IT networks.
• Complete work reports and update maintenance database promptly.
• Collaborate with Service, Sales and Back Office to optimise efficiency and costs.

We are looking for a professional with a technical background in electronics or IT, combining strong attention to detail with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach, to join our Service Team as a Field Service Engineer.

The successful candidate will work mainly independently, while always being part of a team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform equipment installations, troubleshooting and predictive maintenance activities to ensure the proper operation of our systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, both remotely via VPN and on site at customer locations across Italy.
• Carry out repairs on equipment received at our in‑house laboratory.
• Communicate with customers throughout the technical support process.
• Liaise with the technical support teams of our device manufacturers.
• Install and configure medical software and integrate it into hospital IT networks.
• Accurately complete work reports and dedicated checklists, ensuring that the equipment maintenance database is updated promptly.
• Work closely with the Service, Sales and Back Office teams to optimise operational efficiency and management costs, including the procurement of any spare parts required for equipment repairs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a technical high school diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
• Knowledge of IT networks and Windows environments.
• Accuracy, a practical mindset and the ability to adapt to different working environments.
• Excellent command of Italian and good knowledge of English (B2 level).
• Availability to travel across Italy, with the possibility of returning home on the same day.
• Previous experience in the medical sector and knowledge of SQL databases and DICOM standards will be considered a plus.

What we offer

Full‑time employment under the Italian CCNL Metalmeccanico, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Salary will be discussed during the interview process and determined based on the candidate’s actual experience.
