Sonoco is seeking an IT Specialist, Field Services Support to ensure reliability of end-user computing and local IT infrastructure across manufacturing plants and corporate offices. This role requires frequent travel between sites to provide hands-on technical assistance and incident resolution.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Professional certifications preferred (Microsoft, Networking, Cabling).
• Experience in IT Deskside/Field Services for manufacturing environments.

Mansioni

• Provide Level 2 on-site end-user support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and standard business applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in office and manufacturing environments.
• Execute break/fix support, device imaging, deployments, upgrades, and replacements.
• Support site equipment including conference rooms, shop-floor workstations, printers, CCTV, AV equipment and phone systems.
• Travel between company locations to support incidents, new site setups, technology refreshes and standardization initiatives.
• Liaise with centralized IT teams (Network, Hosting, Server) for on-site diagnostics and basic troubleshooting.
• Deliver specialized IT support for manufacturing/ shop-floor environments in collaboration with Operations and Engineering teams.
• Build relationships with local business stakeholders, capturing requirements for IT initiatives and pilots.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory and documentation; contribute to process improvements.
• Any other assigned duties.
