Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Data QA Engineer based in Italy to ensure data accuracy across web scraping and AI-assisted projects. You will translate data requirements into QA criteria, perform exploratory and automated testing, and report quality metrics to stakeholders.

You will work with Pandas, SQL, and modern testing tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a flexible, remote-friendly environment. This role emphasizes ownership and continuous improvement in data quality practices.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in QA or data testing.
• Proficiency in Python for data validation (Pandas/Jupyter).
• SQL skills to query and validate data in relational DBs.
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, JSON, XPath, HTTP, CSS).
• Experience testing HTTP/REST APIs and validating responses.
• Knowledge of data quality principles and data drift.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer data extraction and web scraping requirements into clear QA criteria and strategies.
• Perform exploratory, manual, and automated testing to validate data quality.
• Execute test cycles on extracted datasets to verify compliance with specs.
• Document defects with reproducible steps and evidence for developers.
• Apply stats, data summaries, and visualizations to assess completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare quality reports and metrics for internal teams and customers.
• Identify testing scope, untested areas, and associated risks for project decisions.
• Collaborate with managers and customers to clarify requirements and ensure measurable QA.
