Job summary

GE Aerospace (Avio Aero) is seeking a Service Shopfloor Supervisor in Italy to lead daily shopfloor operations for MRO and CRO activities in a highly regulated aviation environment. The role focuses on safety, quality, and lean transformation, with responsibility for manpower planning and process improvements across multiple cells.

You will drive standard work, coach teams on problem solving, and ensure alignment with SQDC targets while maintaining compliance with EASA/EMAR Part 145 requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience managing complex and structured teams.
• Proven experience as a Process Engineer and/or Production Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of production, shop operations, and production control.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team-based organization for quick-turnaround repair services for internal and external customers.
• Coordinate daily shopfloor activities, assigning work, monitoring progress, and ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Provide technical, quality and production leadership to assigned cells/teams.
• Provide leadership in training and development, equipment maintenance, process and procedure implementation.
• Communicate with internal/external customers to ensure commitments are met.
• Drive safety, quality, cost, production and compliance targets (SQDC).
• Support shop leader in manpower, equipment and resources planning.
