Senior Manager, Enablon Configuration Specialist/Developer

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Enablon Developer / Configuration Specialist to design, build and maintain Enablon solutions that meet our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), sustainability and risk-management objectives. The ideal candidate combines deep functional knowledge of Enablon modules with strong technical skills to configure the platform, develop integrations, and deliver robust, maintainable extensions and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with business analysts, EHS subject-matter experts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into Enablon configurations and technical solutions.
- Configure Enablon modules (EHS/Incident management, Sustainability, Risk Management, Audits & Inspections, Compliance, Corrective Actions, Permits, etc.) including forms, workflows, roles, permissions and business rules.
- Design and implement dashboards, KPI reports and custom reports using Enablon reporting tools; optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy.
- Develop customizations using Enablon-supported technologies and frameworks (Java, JavaScript, SQL) following coding standards and best practices.
- Implement integrations between Enablon and external systems (ERP, HR, IoT/data sources, document management) using Enablon APIs, SDKs, web services, middleware (e.g., Dell Boomi, Mulesoft) or custom scripts.
- Create and maintain technical design documents, configuration guides, data mapping documentation and deployment/runbooks.
- Conduct unit testing of custom components and configuration changes; produce automated or repeatable test scripts where appropriate.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by demonstrating solutions, assisting testers, triaging defects and applying fixes.
- Participate in data migration and data validation activities (ETL, bulk imports, data cleansing) to ensure fidelity between legacy and Enablon systems.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis and implement timely fixes or configuration adjustments.
- Ensure solutions adhere to security, scalability and maintainability standards; advise on performance tuning and capacity considerations.
- Provide knowledge transfer, technical support and training materials to administrators and end users.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, configuration templates and reusable components.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience configuring and developing on the Enablon platform (or comparable EHS/Compliance platforms).
- Solid understanding of Enablon modules (EHS, Sustainability, Risk Management, Audits, Compliance) and how they map to business processes.
- Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript; solid SQL skills for data queries, validations and performance tuning.
- Experience using Enablon APIs, SDKs and integration capabilities; familiarity with REST/SOAP web services.
- Experience building dashboards and reports within Enablon reporting tools; strong data visualization and KPI design sense.
- Practical experience with integrations (ETL, middleware, web services) and data migration processes.
- Familiarity with SDLC practices, version control (Git), deployment pipelines and change control procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills; able to work with functional stakeholders and non-technical users.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with middleware platforms (Mulesoft, TIBCO, Informatica) or scripting tools for integration orchestration.
- Knowledge of application performance tuning and database optimization on the Enablon stack.
- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, modern JS frameworks) if custom UI components are needed.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization or CI/CD tools.
- Certifications in Enablon (if available), Java, or integration platforms.
- Understanding of EHS, sustainability, risk and compliance domains.
- Product management experience — defining product roadmaps, prioritizing features and translating business needs into delivery plans
- Planning and coordination skills — experience coordinating cross-functional delivery, managing releases, and tracking milestones across stakeholders
