Department: International Pathway College (IPC) – The IPC delivers subject teaching alongside language and study skills to international students. The IPC offers programmes in Computer Science, covering modules in computer architecture, databases, programming, Artificial Intelligence and Web Development.
Salary: £37,694 – £46,049 per year

You will be an experienced Computer Sciences/IT teacher, leading the teaching and development of the IPC International Year One (IYO) Computer Science modules. You will take responsibility for assessment across the module and contribute to general coordination, including moderation, invigilation and marking.
As an Associate Lecturer in Computer Science (Grade 6), you will report to the Programme Leader for the IYO and work closely with other Associate Lecturers and Tutors to ensure effective course delivery. Your responsibilities include development of assessments and materials, representing your modules at exam boards, teaching classes, marking assessments, and conducting tutorials.
The role is available on a full‑time basis, with part‑time hours negotiable. If part‑time, working days will be agreed based on the student timetable each term.
• Knowledge and experience of teaching Computer Science/IT at Level 3 or Level 4.
• Valid teaching qualification.
• Ability to develop seminars and provide relevant learning support to students across different levels of academic ability.
• Highly developed communication skills to engage effectively with a wide audience, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to supervise student work, advise on study skills, assist with learning problems, and contribute to the design of course material, content and new teaching approaches.
