Job description

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to run our fulfilment centre handling pharmaceutical and healthcare products. You will own end-to-end warehouse operations: inbound, storage, order processing, dispatch. The focus is on speed, accuracy, cost efficiency and strict regulatory compliance. You will lead a large, shift-based team and work closely with the network planning, procurement, customer experience, technology and quality teams to deliver on-time, in-full orders at scale.

Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations
  • Manage daily inbound (GRN, QC, putaway), storage, picking, packing, dispatch and returns processing.
  • Ensure orders are processed within defined SLAs and cut-off times for first-mile handover to courier partners.
  • Plan manpower, shifts and layouts to handle daily volume and peak or campaign spikes.
  • Drive productivity through standard operating procedures, slotting optimization, pick-path design and wave/batch planning.
2. Pharma Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure the warehouse operates in line with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules, drug licence conditions and applicable Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
  • Implement FEFO, batch and expiry management, near-expiry alerts, and quarantine, recall and destruction procedures.
  • Keep the site audit-ready for regulators, internal audits and partner audits; work with the Registered Pharmacist and Quality Head.
3. Inventory Control
  • Maintain inventory accuracy or better through cycle counts, periodic audits and root-cause analysis of variances.
  • Control shrinkage, damages and expiry write-offs; work with procurement and planning on replenishment and aged-stock liquidation.
  • Ensure real-time stock accuracy between the WMS, ERP and storefront.
4. Systems & Process Improvement
  • Own WMS usage and discipline on the floor; partner with tech and product teams on integrations, enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Use RF scanners, barcoding and automation to reduce errors and manual effort.
  • Lead continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to cut cost per order and improve packing quality.
  • Hire, train, coach and retain supervisors and associates; build a strong performance culture and succession pipeline.
  • Set clear KPIs, run daily huddles and review performance regularly.
  • Ensure workplace safety, statutory compliance (PF/ESI, labour laws, fire and safety) and a positive employee environment.
7. Reporting & Cost Management
  • Own the warehouse P&L elements: manpower, rent, packaging, utilities and consumables.
  • Publish daily, weekly and monthly dashboards on KPIs and present insights and action plans to leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Graduate in any discipline
  • 7 to 10 years of warehouse operations experience, with at least 4 to 5 years in a managerial role running a high-volume e-commerce, pharma, healthcare or FMCG fulfilment centre
  • Hands-on experience managing a team of 100+ associates across multiple shifts..
  • Strong leadership, ownership and people-management skills
