TechDoQuest is expanding its US IT recruiting team and seeks an experienced US IT Recruiter to source, screen, and place technical talent for US and Canadian clients.

You will manage full-cycle IT recruitment for roles across cloud, data, QA, and development, negotiate rates, and ensure compliance with US/Canadian work authorization norms. Candidates should have 2+ years of North America staffing experience and proficiency in English.

We're growing our talent acquisition team to support increasing demand for IT talent placements in the US and Canadian markets.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced US IT Recruiter to source, screen, and place technical talent for our US and Canadian clients. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with North American IT staffing (contract, contract-to-hire, and full-time placements), understands US work authorization categories (H1B, OPT, GC, USC) and Canadian equivalents (PR, work permits, LMIA basics), and is comfortable working across time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for IT roles (developers, QA, DevOps, cloud, data, business analysts, PMs, architects, etc.) for US and Canadian client requirements
• Source candidates through job portals (Dice, LinkedIn Recruiter, Monster, CareerBuilder, Indeed), internal ATS/database, referrals, and Boolean/X-ray search techniques
• Screen resumes and conduct initial phone/video interviews to assess technical fit, communication skills, rate/salary expectations, and work authorization status
• Negotiate rates/compensation with candidates (C2C, W2, 1099 as applicable in US; T4/incorporated contractor models in Canada)
• Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and clients/hiring managers
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate pipelines in the ATS
• Build and maintain a strong bench of pre-vetted candidates for recurring skill sets
• Collaborate with account managers/bench sales team on requirement prioritization
• Ensure compliance with US/Canadian employment and immigration norms relevant to staffing
• Provide regular pipeline reports and recruitment metrics to leadership

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of IT recruitment experience specifically for US and/or Canadian staffing (mandatory — not domestic India recruitment)
• Strong understanding of US tax terms (W2, C2C, 1099) and Canadian equivalents (T4, incorporated contractors)
• Familiarity with visa/work authorization categories: H1B, OPT/CPT, GC, USC, TN (US); PR, Work Permit, Canadian Citizen (Canada)
• Hands-on experience with job boards and sourcing tools (Dice, LinkedIn Recruiter, Monster, Indeed, ZipRecruiter)
• Experience with ATS platforms (Bullhorn, JobDiva, Ceipal, or similar)
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills — client- and candidate-facing role
• Ability to work in overlapping US/Canada time zones (EST/CST/PST)
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience recruiting for niche/high-demand skills (cloud — AWS/Azure/GCP, data engineering, cybersecurity, ERP)
• Prior experience working with a staffing/IT services firm serving North American clients
• Exposure to bench sales coordination
• Experience using AI-assisted sourcing/recruiting tools
