Job Description
Job Title: Team Member-Instrumentation
Job Purpose:
To lead the instrumentation teamin ensuring reliable operation, maintenance, and optimization ofinstrumentation systems across the solar cell manufacturing plant and project.This role supports production efficiency, quality assurance, and safety compliance,contributing directly to the plant’s operational excellence and technologicaladvancement.
- Assist in installation, calibration, andmaintenance of instrumentation systems including sensors, PLCs, SCADA, andcontrol systems.
- Collaborate with process and electrical teamsfor effective integration of instrumentation with manufacturing systems.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation issues to reducedowntime and maintain continuous production.
- Follow preventive and predictive maintenanceschedules as per SOPs.
- Adhere to safety, environmental, and qualitystandards during instrumentation activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation includingcalibration records and technical reports.
- Support commissioning and testing of newequipment and technologies.
- Participate in training sessions and skilldevelopment programs.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors underguidance for instrumentation-related tasks.
Key Performance Indicators(KPIs):
- Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) for instrumentationfaults
- Compliance with calibration and maintenanceschedules
- Safety compliance in instrumentation activities
- Contribution to successful commissioning of newsystems
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in InstrumentationEngineering, Electronics, or related field
Certifications / Trainings
- Certified in Industrial Automation / PLCProgramming
- Safety Compliance Training (e.g., HAZOP, LOTO)
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (preferred)]
Experience
- Experience: Minimum 06-10 years ofexperience in instrumentation within solar cell manufacturing, semiconductor,or high-tech process industries
- Preferred: Experience with advanced solartechnologies like TOPCon, HJT, or automated production systems
- Functional: Problem Solving, TechnicalAccuracy, Documentation
Working Conditions
- This role will be carried out within a manufacturing plant environment located near Rajkot.
- Location: This role is based at ourmanufacturing facility located near Rajkot.
- Work Environment: The position operatesprimarily within a plant environment, which may involve exposure to noise,machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Work Schedule: Standard working hours are[insert hours, e.g., 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional requirements forextended hours based on operational needs. Shift-based work may be applicabledepending on the role and department.
- Travel Requirements: Minimal travel isexpected; however, occasional visits to vendors, training centers, or othercompany locations may be required.
