The role requires 10–15 years in project quality management, process control, and commissioning in cleanroom-based manufacturing, with expertise in ISO/GMP, QA/QC, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering; Certifications: OSHA/ISO 45001.
  • 10–15 years in Project Quality Management, Process Control, and Commissioning in cleanroom-based manufacturing.
  • Experience in greenfield project execution and implementing quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Project Quality & Excellence function for the greenfield solar cell plant.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/GMP and drive operational excellence across the project lifecycle.
  • Establish robust QA/QC processes, documentation control, and audits for project deliverables.

Job Title: Team Lead – Project Quality & Excellence
Reporting To: Project & Plant Head

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead the ProjectQuality & Excellence function for our greenfield solar cellmanufacturing plant. This role ensures adherence to global quality standards,drives operational excellence, and establishes robust systems for projectexecution, documentation, commissioning, and transition to operations. Theposition requires expertise in quality management, process validation, andcontinuous improvement methodologies to deliver a world-class manufacturingsetup.

Project Phase – Greenfield Setup

  • Develop and implement Project Quality ManagementPlan aligned with ISO, GMP, and industry best practices.
  • Define quality benchmarks, inspection protocols,and acceptance criteria for all project deliverables.
  • Review and approve design documents, P&IDs,and technical specifications for compliance.
  • Establish Project Documentation & ProcessControl systems for drawings, SOPs, and quality records.
  • Conduct vendor audits, material inspections, andFAT/SAT validations for critical equipment.
  • Drive risk assessment and mitigation plans forproject quality issues.
  • Oversee commissioning protocols, includingvalidation of HVAC, cleanroom, and utility systems.
  • Collaborate with MEP consultants, civil, andutility teams to ensure quality integration across systems.
  • Establish Quality Assurance & QualityControl (QA/QC) systems for plant operations.
  • Monitor cleanroom compliance (ISO Class1000–10000) and critical parameters.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiativesusing Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for deviationsand implement corrective actions.
  • Lead internal audits, regulatory inspections,and certification processes.
  • Train and develop the quality team foroperational excellence and compliance.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Zero major non-conformances in audits andinspections.
  • On-time project delivery with qualitycompliance.
  • Reduction in rework and cost of poor quality.
  • Achievement of ISO/GMP certifications withindefined timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech inMechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
  • Certifications: o Safety Compliance (OSHA/ISO 45001)
  • Experience: 10–15 years in Project Quality Management, ProcessControl, and Commissioning in solar, semiconductor, or cleanroom-basedmanufacturing.
  • Proven track record in greenfield projectexecution and quality systems implementation.
  • Behavioural: Leadership, Decision-Making,Cross-Functional Collaboration, Communication.
  • Functional: Quality Planning, RiskManagement, RCA, Continuous Improvement, Vendor Quality Management,Documentation Control.
  • Systems: Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, andquality management software.

Key Technical Skills:

  • ISO/GMP compliance for cleanroom environments.
  • Quality control for HVAC, cleanroom, and utilitysystems.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) and FailureMode & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Documentation and audit management.
  • Commissioning protocols and validationprocesses.

Working Conditions:

  • This role will be carried out within a manufacturing plant environment located near Rajkot.
  • Location: This role is based at ourmanufacturing facility located near Rajkot.
  • Work Environment: The position operatesprimarily within a plant environment, which may involve exposure to noise,machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • Work Schedule: Standard working hours withoccasional requirements for extended hours based on operational needs.Shift-based work may be applicable depending on the role and department.
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel isexpected; however, occasional visits to vendors, training centres, or othercompany locations may be required.

Qualifications
