Qualifications

  • 10–16 years of experience in solar cell or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Greenfield project experience and ramp-up of production lines for N-Type TOPCon or similar tech.
  • Experience with cleanroom environments and ISO SEMI standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations to meet output, yield, and efficiency targets.
  • Drive throughput improvements, cycle-time reductions, and cost optimizations.
  • Ensure ISO, SEMI, and cleanroom compliance; coordinate with QA for RCA and CAPA.
  • Lead and train a high-performing production team; enforce process control and safety.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for preventive/corrective actions and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain production logs, yield reports, and downtime analysis; prepare MIS for management.

Job Title: Team Lead- Cell Production
Reporting To: Lead- Cell Production
Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled andexperienced professional to lead the production operations of ourstate-of-the-art Solar Cell Manufacturing Plant. The role involves managingend-to-end production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, optimizingthroughput, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent willplay a critical role in achieving production targets for N-Type TOPCon solarcells while maintaining compliance with cleanroom protocols and globalmanufacturing standards.

Project Phase – Greenfield Setup
Production Planning & Setup:
  • Collaboratewith engineering teams for layout planning, equipment installation, andproduction line readiness.
  • Reviewand approve process flow diagrams, line balancing plans, and capacitycalculations.
  • SupportFAT/SAT for production tools and ensure alignment with ISO Class 1000–10,000cleanroom requirements.
  • DefineSOPs for production processes, material handling, and cleanroom behavior.
  • Evaluateand finalize production equipment vendors for cell manufacturing lines(diffusion, PECVD, PVD, metallization, texturing, cleaning, etc.).
  • Ensurecompliance with SEMI, NFPA, and FM Global standards during equipmentinstallation.
Production Management:
  • Leaddaily production operations to meet output, yield, and efficiency targets.
  • Monitorprocess parameters and ensure adherence to specifications for N-Type TOPConsolar cells.
  • Drivecontinuous improvement initiatives for throughput, cycle time reduction, andcost optimization.
Quality & Compliance:
  • Ensurestrict compliance with ISO, SEMI, and cleanroom protocols during productionactivities.
  • Collaboratewith Quality Assurance for defect analysis, RCA, and CAPA implementation.
  • Buildand lead a high-performing production team; conduct training on processcontrol, cleanroom discipline, and troubleshooting.
  • Fostera culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Maintenance & Coordination:
  • Coordinatewith maintenance teams for preventive and corrective actions on productionequipment.
  • Ensureminimal downtime and quick recovery during breakdowns.
Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintainaccurate production logs, yield reports, and downtime analysis.
  • PrepareMIS reports for management review and audits.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Project Phase:
  • Timelyreadiness of production lines and SOPs.
  • Successfulparticipation in FAT/SAT and commissioning activities.
  • Compliancewith cleanroom and global standards.
Operational Phase:
  • Achievementof daily/monthly production targets.

  • Equipmentuptime and MTBF/MTTR metrics.
  • Traininghours completed for team development.
Qualifications:
  • Education:B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Production Engineering.
Certifications/ Trainings:
  • LeanManufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Safety Compliance.
Experience:
  • Experience: Minimum 10–16 years in solarcell or semiconductor manufacturing, with strong exposure to high-puritycleanroom environments.
  • Preferred: Experience in greenfield projects andramp-up of production lines for N-Type TOPCon or similar advancedtechnologies.
Technical Expertise:
