Job summary

Involt Energy Pvt. Ltd. near Rajkot, Gujarat, is seeking a seasoned Team Lead for Cell Process & Quality to drive robust process control, achieve world‑class quality, and push continuous improvement in our N-Type TOPCon solar cell facility.

Reporting to the Lead- Cell Process & Quality, you will define SOPs, establish QMS aligned with ISO 9001 and SEMI, lead defect reduction efforts, and mentor a team of process and quality engineers in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 10–16 years of experience in solar cell or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience in greenfield projects and ramp-up of N-Type TOPCon or similar tech.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Process & Quality function for the solar cell manufacturing plant.
  • Establish process controls, defect reduction, and high yield in a cleanroom.
  • Develop QMS aligned with ISO 9001 and SEMI standards.
  • Set up SPC, FMEA, and control charts for critical processes.
  • Build and mentor a team of process and quality engineers.

Job Title: Team Lead- Cell Process & Quality

Reporting To: Lead- Cell Process & Quality

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a seasoned professionalto lead the Process & Quality function for our advanced Solar CellManufacturing Plant. This role is critical in ensuring robust process control,achieving world-class quality standards, and driving continuous improvement forN-Type TOPCon solar cell production. The incumbent will oversee processoptimization, defect reduction, and compliance with international qualitynorms, ensuring high yield and reliability in a cleanroom environment.

Project Phase – Greenfield Setup

Process Development & Setup:

  • Collaboratewith technology partners and OEMs for process design and qualification ofcritical steps (diffusion, PECVD, PVD, metallization, texturing, cleaning,etc).
  • Defineprocess parameters, control plans, and SOPs for all manufacturing stages.
  • Participatein FAT/SAT and ensure process validation aligns with ISO Class 1000–10,000cleanroom standards.

Quality System Establishment:

  • Developand implement Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and SEMIstandards.
  • Establishincoming, in-process, and final inspection protocols for raw materials andfinished cells.
  • Setup SPC, FMEA, and control charts for critical processes.

Process Control & Optimization:

  • Monitorand control process parameters to achieve target efficiency and yield.
  • Drivecontinuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
  • Analyzeprocess deviations and implement corrective actions promptly.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensureadherence to international quality standards and customer specifications.
  • LeadRCA and CAPA for process-related defects and quality issues.
  • Conductinternal audits and support external audits for certifications and compliance.
  • Buildand lead a team of process and quality engineers; provide training on SPC,defect analysis, and cleanroom discipline.
  • Fostera culture of quality, precision, and continuous improvement.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintainaccurate records of process parameters, defect analysis, and quality metrics.
  • PrepareMIS reports for management review and customer audits.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Project Phase:

  • Timelyestablishment of process control systems and QMS.
  • Successfulprocess qualification and ramp-up.
  • Compliancewith cleanroom and global standards.

Operational Phase:

  • Yieldimprovement and defect reduction metrics.
  • Processstability and capability indices (Cp, Cpk).
  • Customercomplaint resolution and audit compliance.
  • Traininghours completed for team development..

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Chemical Engineering.

Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum 10–16 years in solarcell or semiconductor manufacturing with strong exposure to process engineeringand quality systems.
  • Preferred: Experience in greenfield projects andramp-up of N-Type TOPCon or similar advanced technologies.

Technical Expertise:
