Job summary

Swiggy Instamart is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a Dark Store in a fast-paced ecommerce setting. You will lead a team, plan rosters, manage inventory, and coordinate inbound and dispatch activities to ensure smooth store performance.

The role requires at least 1 year in store operations, strong communication, and hands-on experience with cold-chain handling and last-mile processes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Store Operations, Dark Store, Warehouse, E-commerce, or retail.
• Strong team handling and roster planning experience.
• Hands-on inventory management expertise.
• Experience with inbound, dispatch, fulfillment or last-mile operations preferred.
• Knowledge of cold-chain/freezer/chiller operations preferred.
• Proficient communication and email writing skills.
• Basic MS Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Instamart Dark Store.
• Handle First Mile operations including inbound and inventory accuracy.
• Oversee Last Mile operations, order dispatch and rider coordination.
• Lead and manage pickers, packers and supervisors.
• Prepare and manage employee rosters according to demand.
• Monitor inventory, stock levels, shrinkage and replenishment.
• Ensure proper handling/storage of frozen, chilled and temperature-sensitive products.
• Maintain freezer/chiller temperatures per SOP.
• Conduct regular audits for product quality and shelf-life.
• Prepare daily operational reports on attendance, productivity, shrinkage, SLA.
• Coordinate with HR, Supply Chain, Central Operations and Last Mile teams.
• Handle escalations and ensure SOP compliance.
• Ensure high order accuracy and minimize delays.

• Knowledge of cold-chain/freezer/chiller operations is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates from Dark Store, Quick Commerce, E-commerce, Retail, Warehouse, Logistics or Fulfillment operations will be preferred.
