More Retail is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a Dark Store. You will manage inventory, order fulfilment, and delivery performance while leading a team across shifts to meet SLAs and quality standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of quick commerce and e-commerce operations, excellent problem solving, data-driven decision making, and hands-on leadership to drive productivity, accuracy, and customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; Retail Management or Operations background preferred.
• Experience in Dark Store, Quick Commerce, or grocery retail operations.
• Experience leading a team of 15-50+ associates.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Dark Store operations and daily functioning.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Store Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our Dark Store. The role involves managing store operations, inventory, order fulfilment, team productivity, customer service and overall store performance.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Quick Commerce, E-commerce, Dark Store, Fulfilment Centre, Supermarket or Grocery Retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Dark Store operations and ensure smooth daily functioning.
• Drive order fulfilment, picking, packing and dispatch within defined SLA/TAT.
• Manage store inventory accuracy, stock availability, put-away and replenishment.
• Monitor and improve key operational metrics such as productivity, order accuracy, fulfilment rate and shrinkage.
• Plan manpower and ensure optimum deployment across different operational activities.
• Lead, coach and motivate store associates and team leaders.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline and performance of the team.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety, hygiene and process standards.
• Identify operational gaps and take corrective actions through effective root-cause analysis.
• Minimise inventory loss, damages, expiry and shrinkage.
• Coordinate with central operations, supply chain, last-mile/delivery teams and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and review daily operational reports and MIS/KPI dashboards.
• Handle customer/order-related operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement in cost, productivity, quality and customer experience.
• Ensure the store is always audit-ready and compliant with company standards.

Candidate Profile

• 36 years of experience in Store Operations / Dark Store / Quick Commerce / E-commerce / Supermarket / Grocery Retail.
• Experience managing a team of 15-50+ associates will be preferred.
• Candidates from Amazon, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, Flipkart or similar organisations are preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory, fulfilment and people management.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with MIS, Excel/Google Sheets and operational dashboards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Education

Graduate in any discipline. Candidates with a background in Retail Management, Operations or Supply Chain will be preferred.
