Purpose of the Role
- Fulfill order requirements of Own Brand products aligned with sales forecasts and inventory targets.
- Act as key account manager for Assemblers at TVS.
- Collaborate with Project Management and major component suppliers for smooth supply chain execution.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Evaluate component functions, specifications, and supplier options.
- Estimate BOM cost and manage commercials (unit cost, terms, MOQ, MOV, Incoterms).
- Negotiate part costs and finalize within target cost; issue LOIs for tooling & sample development.
- Ensure effective collaboration between Assemblers & Component makers.
- Release tentative and firm forecasts considering global lead times (ordering, manufacturing, QC, shipping, customs, local transport).
Technical & Process Management
- Broad understanding of NDAs, contracts, warranties, and engineering component development.
- Prepare CAD models & 2D drawings incorporating AQ/MBQ and DFMEA requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers on customized items (frames, handlebars, battery cases, motors, forks).
- Align delivery schedules with sales forecasts, inventory planning, and QC planning.
Commercial & Finance
- Reconcile invoices, coordinate with Finance for timely payments.
- Ensure checks and controls on supplier invoices, banking, and payment systems.
- Manage inbound logistics and maintain strong ties with logistics providers to optimize lead times and costs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Risk Management
- Work closely with project, finance, and logistics teams to align supply chain with business goals.
- Manage risks and disruptions with contingency planning (escalate to Business Head when required).
- Arrange QC checks prior to dispatch.
