Job summary

TVS Motor Company in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, invites an experienced Mechanical/Automobile engineer to join the R&D Super Premium - Engine team. The role requires 5–10 years of hands-on engine testing, bench work, and subsystem analysis.

You will work on engine assembly protocols, testing plans, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver performance improvements and reliable calibration.

Qualifications

• Graduation in Mechanical/Automobile engineering or equivalent degree.
• 5–10 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of engine testing and bench testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Understand engine subsystem functions, assembly protocols, build book and assembly drawing.
• Conduct engine or vehicle and its subsystem level testing.
• Analyze test data and report results.
• Plan daily and weekly engine assembly, maintenance and test execution to hit monthly targets.
• Guide team members in engine assembly and debugging.

• Engine assembly with protocols and maintenance
• Engine and vehicle preparations, setup instrumentation, test checks and test bench running
• Engine calibration, performance tuning and drivability and emission calibration
• Tested engine disassembly, parts inspection and report preparation
• DVP report preparation, part failure analysis and counter measures recommendations.

Role Description

• Understand the engine subsystem functions, assembly protocols, build book and assembly drawing
• Conduct or execute engine or vehicle and its sub system level testing.
• Understand the test standard and analyse test data (incl. Benchmark data) and report the results.
• Daily and weekly work /engine assembly, maintenance and test plan and execution to achieve monthly target
• Engine assembly plan and execution by guiding the team members
• Motorcycle riding on road & evaluate the problems
• Do benchmarking of competition products and experiment new ideas for product improvements
